what am I eating right now?

cooked cereal, various kinds from the bulk food isle.
kinda funny I have a memory associated with that. my mother trying to do her best, getting me some granola from the bulk food bin so I would stop passing out at school from hunger.
can't remember eating it strange...
so wheat germ, oat bran, and mixed 7 grain cereal.
oat milk in a box.
hemp protein powder (I live on the stuff any more)
simple warm and good for ya.
easy to eat, easy to puke!
(that is a prime consideration these days)
in the morning I will put the cold cereal in a blender and add nuts(cashews and pistachio's) more hemp powder, and more oat or coconut milk.
the cereal is better cooked as I added it uncooked this am and was very bitter.
so that is what is is my stomach right now. Night!

F$cken February!

welcome to my latest post. haven't posted in a while and thought it was about time to. if you are having problems with the title read the post on my main blog dated today and you will see what I mean, but this is a cooking blog so we will talk about that.

I cook cause it makes my heart sing. It makes me feel like I can take care of my family, I don't feel neglected when I cook. I feel like I am attached to the world when I cook. it is important, and a necessary thing. we all need to eat, and most of us like to eat well. I know I do. Too well in fact...
so I made 1/2 a dozen loaves of blueberry/mango/orange bread. lets go over the recipe.
one whole box of basic muffin mix 80 oz
eggs, orange juice and mango juice( costco had a killer deal on there mango juice blend, I went today before noon just missed all the crowds, and got to sample allot of things, like my yummy veggie burgers, that are sitting in the freezer calling my name, and more cheese that I could wrap around my head! I am a "OHH that was good lets try it at home just tweak this and this")
it says 5 cups of liquid, I guess they want water, oh well...
it is far more than 5 cups all told. and frozen blueberries. Just Tons of them =P.
(and I don't know how to cook small it makes 6 good size loaves.)

so you whisk the eggs until they are mixed, then you add juice ( I never measure it I know it takes allot) of both kinds (PS get the juice with pulp in it.)
add the blueberries. then add the muffin mix, have a really big bowl, and a strong stirrer.
mix until well mixed and moist to your liking. fill loaf pans 3/4th of the way full and bake at 350 till tester comes out clean... 45 to 50 minutes. I bake 3 loaves at a time, and it takes more like 1 hour 5 minutes, watch them though they can burn really quick.
and you end up with what J and CT call love! they can always tell when I love them I give them loaves of bread. and this is what you end up with.

they taste better than they look, and they are AWESOME!
now on to the Crockpot and what is in it.

that is my new 7 qt red crock pot.
it is is fresh broccoli, asparagus, onion, red potatoes, baby bok choy, bacon(of course), spices like basil, cumin, nutmeg, pepper, and whatever else you like. top with water. and I put some pork rib meat in it. the ribs were on sale! for super bowl weekend, coated with BBQ sauce, which I don't like, at all so I washed it off with water and took all the meat off of the bones. it went in the soup. sit and let it cook until it is done, my room and the rest of the building smell wonderful! it watches it's self and you end up with something great. there are thousands upon thousands of different recipes that you can use. you can make dessert in a crock pot! I love this.
it is huge, filling and will feed many, many people.
so I have had my cooking fix for the day and you know what? my day is better for it. the people I love will have warm full bellies, on a very cold night where we are expecting -10 to -15 below, it is a lovely thing.
thanks for reading.
